This project required a highly specialised set of tanks designed for a poultry facility as part of its biosecurity process. These polypropylene tanks serve as decontamination vessels, treating waste products from the facility to ensure proper sanitation and environmental compliance.
Polypropylene (PP) was specified by the client due to its ability to withstand elevated temperatures and the corrosive nature of the process. Our scope of work included design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and delivery. Through a collaborative approach with our client, we engaged international polymer engineering expertise alongside local engineering support to develop a solution that meets stringent performance and durability requirements.
Scope of Work
-
Design and engineering of polypropylene tanks using finite element analysis (FEA) to optimise strength and performance.
-
Precision manufacturing and fabrication to ensure durability and chemical resistance.
-
Hydrostatic testing to verify structural integrity and performance.
-
Refinement and validation of the integrated clean in place (CIP) system to enhance operational efficiency.
Outcome
The final tanks provided a robust and efficient decontamination solution, with optimised structural integrity through advanced FEA-driven design. Their integrated CIP system ensures thorough and automated cleaning, reducing manual intervention and enhancing overall facility hygiene. The success of this project highlights the importance of collaborative engineering and precision manufacturing in delivering tailored solutions for biosecurity and waste treatment applications.
